Teaching Statement

Certified in K-12 Art Education (042) - When working with students, my goal is to spark an interest in art in every student, equipping them with the confidence and skills to look to art as an outlet for expression. By championing creativity and innovation, my goal is to inspire students to dive headfirst into a world of colors, shapes, and ideas. Drawing inspiration from the wonders of nature, I use natural elements and found objects in many of my lessons.

Throughout my career, I have developed a dynamic teaching style that emphasizes hands-on learning, artistic exploration, and critical thinking. One of my strengths as an art educator is my ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to take risks and express themselves creatively. I am also passionate about integrating technology into the art curriculum to enhance learning opportunities.

Beyond the classroom, I am committed to collaborating with colleagues, parents, and the community to promote the importance of art education and celebrate student achievements.
